1 Peter 3:8
“Finally, all of you, have unity of mind, sympathy, brotherly love, a tender heart, and a humble mind.”
In this day and time, we spend a lot of time trying to create a lifestyle that is harmonious mind, body and soul. We look for ways to balance the scales of life so that we are able to be fulfilled in all that we do. The way we go about everything from dream-chasing to health maintenance and self-care to parenting and relationships, should work together and not against the fulfillment of the whole. We have to recognize what God says about the issues of your life and affirming it daily to replace any lies with truth. We must honor our inner voice by listening without judgment and simultaneously taking every thought captive. Instead of saying, “I can’t stop worrying” we must use positive language such as, “I am worried, so I am meeting with God in prayer over it.” We must learn to release what is outside of our control and learning to sit still and when to move. When we learn to love ourselves, it will impact your mind, body and soul. This can be hard especially being a Christian. When your relationship with Christ is not strong, we sometimes get mixed messages on which way we should move. If you worry that things will fall apart if you take a step, then you need to take it to God.
See, there is nothing we can do to make our mid, body and soul to work together because it is already done. For better or worse, these parts are already working together. We can certainly find greater balance if we flipped the order and begin thinking of ourselves as Spirit, Mind, and Body creations knowing that God truly made us this way. Part of the beauty in this is that we get to feel uncomfortable when things are out of balance. Don’t run from this feeling, tuck it in close and go straight to The Source. God has you and will provide your breakthrough!
