Ephesians 4:29
“Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only su has is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.”
One of the biggest challenges for all of us is staying connected. Most of us live fast lives as such we barely have time to breathe. We become so engrossed in what we have going on in our own lives that we miss out on building connections with others. Building and nurturing relationships with family and friends is a crucial aspect of life. Building a strong bond with your family and friends is about maintaining a true connection. One of the ways to do this is by regular communication. This is the heart of any relationship, communication. It is the thread that weaves everyone together allowing you to share your thoughts, concerns, and joys. But in order for this to happen, you must learn to love and nurture yourself first before you step out and identify and nurture relationships with family and friends.
It is in time of adversity that you can identify your relationships with others and get a true understanding of who will stick with you through thick and thin. Many of us have people in our lives that poison the very essence of our being and we spend so much time on toxic relationships that we do not cultivate or feed our spirits. We feed our spirits whether we intend to or not. If you are not feeding your spirit with the Word of God, you are feeding it something else. What are you feeding it? Just think about it. What are you feeding your spirit right now? God created us to have relationship with Him and one another and feast on His Word. Take inventory of your relationships and rid yourself of toxicity in your life and cultivate those relationships that feed your Spirit.
